Tenerife Buses - Public Transport TTSA
It all started in the 19th century (1884), when the Omnibus company began operating with a single-horse carriage, capable of transporting five people and making daily trips between Santa Cruz and La Laguna. Today, the main public transport is operated by TITSA's modern fleet of green buses, that covers every corner of this lovely Island.
Bus Station - Estacion De Guaguas
Main bus stations are in La Laguna, La Orotava, Puerto de la Cruz, Buenavista del Norte, Guía de Isora, Costa Adeje, Granadilla, Güímar, Candelaria, Santa Cruz and the smaller station in Los Cristianos, with very good connections to Santa Cruz and Los Gigantes.
Canarians call the bus ''Guagua'' and bus stations, estacion de guaguas.
You can either pay for each individual trip or buy a "Ten+" (bus pass) for 2 euros and charge it with a sum you think will be sufficient for your travels around Tenerife. These passes can be used on every route, can be shared between several people and can save about 50 percent on the price of a ticket. You can buy a "Ten+" (bus pass) in any TITSA bus station (not in the bus itself).
